OPM E-CHARGE stations located in Kaufland's parking lots

In order for a larger number of customers to benefit from our charging services, starting Monday, August 8th, 2019, we, together with our partner Kaufland Romania, are changing the access method to our charging stations located in Kaufland's parking lots.

Kaufland continues to support, in its locations, the charging cost at e-charge stations, limited to a single session for each customer, within 24 hours, within a city.

The charging session supported by Kaufland can only be accessed after registration in the e-charge mobile application and by activating the Kaufland coupon. This facility applies only to individual users, not to fleet owners of electric cars.

Up till now only used the RFID card received from the Kaufland store.
What happens now?

Please register in our app*. After registration, you can access all the stations in the e-charge network directly from your phone.
Associate your card with the account in application. Your Kaufland or OPM e-charge card can still be used to initiate charging sessions.

Don't forget! Starting with July 8, 2019 only charging sessions initiated from the e-charge mobile application and using the virtual coupon are supported by Kaufland.

I was already registered in the e-charge app and used both the application and my card at the stations in Kaufland locations.

If you are already a member of the e-charge community, we would like to remind you that the charging sessions started in Kaufland locations are supported by them only when using the e-charge application and after activation of the Kaufland coupon. Any other charging session, both from the application and using your RFID card will be charged as in any other location of the e-charge network.

What is Kaufland coupon?

The Kaufland coupon is a virtual one. It offers you a 100% discount for a charging session, within 24 hours, applied within the same city.

The discount is applied at the end of the charging session; in this sense, we bring to your attention that you must have in your electronic wallet* an amount equivalent to the value of the charging session you want to initiate. Otherwise, the session will suspend itself when its value exceeds the amount in your electronic wallet.

The minimum amount you must have in your electric wallet in order to initiate a charging session (also when using the Kaufland coupon) is 30 RON. If you estimate that you will exced this calue while charging, please make sure you have the correct amount in your e-wallet.

* The electronic wallet is the new feature that has become active since 22 July 2019

How do I insert a Kaufland coupon?

Access your account from the e-charge app.
Select the Coupons submenu and click New. Add the coupon by entering the code for the city where you want to charge (if using the web app) or by scanning the QR Code (if using mobile app);
The coupon is saved to your account. You can use it at any e-charge station in Kaufland stores in the city where you saved the coupon.

* You can save several coupons at one time, for the same or different cities. There is no limitation to the number of coupons you have in your account, only to the usage ( 1 coupon / 24h / city)

How do I use the Kaufland coupon?

To benefit from the charging session supported by our partner, Kaufland, initiate a charging session using the Kaufland coupon as follows:

Access your account from the e-charge app.
Select the charging station and the type of connector you want to use;
Starts charging by pressing "CHARGE". Please make sure that you have saved the Kaufland coupon for the city where you want to load before initializing the charging session, otherwise, the session will be paid;
Choose the coupon you want to use to initiate the session;
The session initializes;
Follow the instructions on the display of the station;
Connect cable to the vehicle;
To stop the current session, please press "Stop Charging" button from "Curren session" submenu.

Don't forget! Only the first coupon you use, within 24 hours, in the same city, will provide you with a free charging session.

I'm in transit, can I use the coupons?

Since the beginning of the partnership between OPM e-charge and Kaufland, the emphasis has been on facilitating long-distance travel. Customers will still be able to benefit from the opportunity to travel on large distances, at no additional cost, if they choose to charge the vehicle at e-charge stations in the Kaufland hypermarkets, the cost of a charging session/city being covered by Kaufland. The limitation to a single charge within 24 hours is only valid for stations located within the same city.

Any other charging session, which does not comply with the above instructions, initiated at the e-charge stations installed in the Kaufland stores, will be charged according to the standard tariffs within the e-charge network, which you can find by accessing: www.e-charge.ro/en/ev-driver#fees.

Every city has a different code. If you arrive in another city, you can once again use a Kaufland coupon, even if you have not passed the 24 hours, using the code of that city.

Each saved coupon can be used for just one charging session. Once the coupon is used, it will be automatically deleted from your list.

Please make sure you have a valid coupon in your account, for the city where you want to charge!
